Growing up in a small town, gave me a wonderful sense of community. It has enriched my life and connected me with people who have positively impacted my journey. Without support, many of the services and events we enjoy in our communities would not be so readily available. Giving back to the place you live and/or work, helps to unite the community and bridge some of the social, economic and political gaps. I have had the pleasure of working with many local and National organizations.

Easter Seals Drop Zone

In 2016, I took a personal challenge to raise over $1,000 for a chance to repel the CIBC tower in downtown Vancouver.

Fare Fight For Food

2013 National Food Bank campaign that raised $279,115 and 366,291 pounds of food.

Hands Up Canada

2010 A national Bentall Kennedy fundraising initiative raised $115,000 and awareness for the Canadian Paralympic Team. On mall activities, athlete appearances, pin sales, employee donations and more.

Park & Tilford Hi Lite Festival

Annual Community Christmas Light display provided by the retailers. North Shore Fighters accepted donations for entry and raised over $50,000 per season for their charitable society. The event lasted a minimum of 30 days and each week on Family Friday, we provided live entertainment, Santa visits, festive food and even rides on the Fire Truck.

A Charlford House Christmas

2002-06 The Lougheed Management Team and Burnaby Fireifghters provided a Womens Recovery Society with Christmas dinner, comfort items and gifts.

Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society

2001-06 Lougheed partnered with the firefighters to raise funds and awareness for their vision of creating an endowment fund. A gift to Burnaby that would keep on giving. We raised over $250,000 to support their vision.

Live & Let Live - Dry Grad

2004 International Award Winner - Each student that attended recived $12.50 towards their Dry Grad program. The finale was a 675 candlelight vigil down Lougheed HIghway.

Burnaby Firefighters Ball

I was a proud member / corporate sponsor of their "Ball Committee" for over 7 years. Lougheed Town Centre provided the photography, graphic design, prizing, print materials, event mentorship and of course many volunteer hours.

Bullying Bites

2001 A collorative effort brought 6 shopping centres together to raise awareness of "Bullying". The campaign additionally raised over $30,000 for the Kids Help Phone.

Here For Kids - Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society

1999-2000 A partnership with the Surrey Firefighters to bring awareness to their fundrasiing efforts for the Her for Kids campaign at the Surrey Memorial hospital. We helped them raise an additional $75,000 and over $200,000 in media exposure.

Win Five Surrey Fighters

Tickets were sold for one lucky person to win 5 Surrey Fighters for the Day. The winner asked for a backyard BBQ where she entertained a group of her friends. Firefighters were handpicked to prepare an amazing meal and even cleaned up afterwards!

National Kids Day

1997-99 In partnership with Canadian Toy companies, shopping centres across the country would raise funds for childrens charities.

Toonie Tower - Kidney Foundation

1997 As a summer student I helped coordinate some of the finer details of this campaign. Great experience to be part of a World Record fundraiser.
